We finally made it to Hanoi. After traveling for a complete day, Shelley slept great while Spike was developing a stomach ulcer because of anxiety due to traveling.
We started off with a two hour delay in SLC due to the lovely snowfall that blanketed the Wasatch Front. Too bad we wont be there to enjoy any of it. Once we got to LAX, we quickly learned that we were severly lost and confused about where to go, and we were still in the United States. Because of the delay in SLC, we almost missed our flight in LA because we had to exit security and go through the International Security again. Luckily there were several others on the same plane so they rushed us through the long security line and straight to the gate.
13 hours in a plane is a long time! Our flight from LAX to Seoul Korea took us up the California coast, over Alaska, and down over Russia. It was interesting to see in person the difference between North Korea and South Korea from the air. Just like the pictures floating around the web, you can plainly see a difference between the two countries and the lights displayed at night.
With another hold up, through another International Security in Korea, we barely made our last flight to Hanoi. The two of us slept so well on that flight. Shelley some how managed to get into the fetal position on her seat. I was seriosusly impressed!
Hanoi is a busy place. There are cars and scooters honking at each other all day and night long. We are about to meet with our friend's friend who is a travel agent and work out how to get to Ha Long Bay and Hue next week. Until next time, we love you guys!
